Construction

Each Hellpig Fingerboard deck is standard 5 plies. The top 4 plies will most commonly be hard maple with the bottom "stained" ply being rotated depending on the intended design for the Fingerboard.

All exotic non-maple plys will be a stronger wood compared to maple as occording to the Janka Hardness Scale. The exception of this being the occasional use of walnut in the middle ply section of the deck.  Any unique woods (non maple) chosen, will be listed in the product info in order to provide clarity.

A heavy, polyeurethane, high gloss clearcoat is the standard choice finish for each deck. In the future I plan to experiment with different satin and matte finishes.

Every design is intended to wear at a much more natural rate and embody the look of a heavily toured and played instrument. Unlike a real-wear or paper graphic.
